it is my honor and pleasure to invite you to the 17th Panhellenic Orthodontic Congress, to be held in Athens from 22 to 24 September 2023, in Wyndham Grand Hotel.

The 17th Panhellenic Orthodontic Congress which is titled «Precision Orthodontics», is organized by the Greek Association for Orthodontic Study and Research (G.A.O.S.R.) with the collaboration of the Cyprus Orthodontic Society (C.O.S.), the Greek Society of Lingual Orthodontics (GRE.S.L.O.) and the Greek Orthodontic Aligner Society (G.O.A.S.).

At the 17th Panhellenic Orthodontic Congress, worldwide distinguished colleagues, clinicians, and researchers, have been invited as speakers. The scientific program of the 17th P.O.C. also includes oral and poster presentations, which always attract the scientific interest of the participants. A seminar for dental office assistants is also included.

The exhibition of orthodontic & dental products will be open as always for the entire duration of the conference, thus enabling colleagues to be informed about all new products and offers.

G.A.O.S.R. completes almost 35 years of continuous and successful conference organization. With the accumulated scientific knowledge and experience we re-discover the wise scientific findings of the great masters of Orthodontics and face our science in the light of new innovative technology and pioneering digital tools.

The 17th Congress will put questions and will try to provide answers regarding the topic of “Precision Orthodontics”, an emerging approach of Precision Medicine.

At the conference we will again have the opportunity, after the difficult years of the pandemic, to meet in person. After all, we have so much to discuss about orthodontics, science, our successes and failures. It is also a great opportunity to meet with our new colleagues.

The cultural program of the Conference is exciting as much as the unique city of Athens.

It is a great pleasure and honor to invite you to the 17th Panhellenic Orthodontic Congress, which will take place in Athens, from September 22 to 24, 2023. The Congress is organized by the Greek Association for Orthodontic Study & Research with the valuable support of the Cyprus Orthodontic Society, the Greek Orthodontic Aligner Society and the Greek Lingual Orthodontic Society.

The main topic of the conference is “Precision Orthodontics”. At a time when orthodontics must be based on sound science and evidence-based treatment, “Precision Orthodontics”, also rendered as individualized orthodontics can be an innovative approach to tailoring malocclusion prevention and orthodontic treatment that considers differences in people’s genes, environments, needs and lifestyles.

The organizing committee has put together an excellent scientific program by inviting distinguished colleagues, clinical and academic researchers, from Greece and abroad. The conference includes a pre-conference and post-conference seminar focusing on cutting-edge technologies and all the recent updates on clear aligner treatment. Highlighting, once again, the crucial role of specialized orthodontic assistants, we have planned a series of seminars aiming at the continuing education of the clinical and front desk staff of the orthodontic office. Also, the scientific committee has selected the most interesting oral and poster presentations of clinical and research topics which will be presented at the conference.

The conference is framed by a wide and rich exhibition of orthodontic and dental products, open throughout the duration of the event.

The conference will take place at the Wyndham Grand Athens hotel in the historical center of downtown Athens. Commuting is very easy due to the nearby metro station, while historic neighborhoods of Athens such as Keramikos, Gazi and Metaxourgeio offer many opportunities for entertainment and gastronomic delights. September is a lovely warm month in Greece and participants can visit one of the nearby beautiful islands or take a trip to the mainland.
